The Continental Societies, Inc.® National Combined Charity Fund
Each year, the Continental Societies, Inc.® presents 20% of the National Combined Charity Fund to another national organization serving children. The recipient is determined by mutual consent of the Executive Committee and the National Conclave hosting chapter.
In addition, Continental Societies, Inc.® allocates 80% of the National Combined Charities Fund to our Scholarship Program. Scholarships are awarded during the annual Conclave Awards Luncheon to a graduating high school senior in each of the four regions of Continental Societies, Inc.® . One non-renewable award is presented to each of the four regional winners.
In addition to the regional winners, one renewable award is presented to a national winner. This award is renewable for three years, provided the winner fulfills the renewal criteria.
Annual Shoes, Socks and Underwear Drive
The Shoes, Socks and Underwear Drive is an outreach project originally spearheaded by the Past National Presidents Advisory Council (PNPAC) that felt a need to lead by example. The program quickly grew into an annual opportunity for all Continentals to make an impact on children living in the Continental Societies, Inc.® Conclave host city. Each Continental attending the Conclave is asked to bring new shoes, socks and underwear for needy children and youth. During the Conclave Gala, all items collected are distributed to an agency that also serves underserved children in the local area of the Co-Host.
