National Council of Negro Women, Inc.

The Continental Societies, Incorporated is an affiliate of the National Council of Negro Women (NCNW). NCNW was founded in 1935 by Mary McLeod Bethune as a national coalition of national organizations and community-based groups. As a voluntary not-for-profit membership organization, NCNW works to improve the quality of life for women, girls, families and communities across the United States and in African countries.
