G. Patricia Stokes Chapter PresidentThe Goldsboro Chapter of Continental Societies, Inc. was organized in 1961 by Gertrude Cox and it was incorporated in 1972. Our chapter sponsors programs and activities that benefit the children of Goldsboro, Wayne and surrounding counties. The chapter sponsors the Continental Pageant as its major fundraiser. Proceeds from the pageant are used to fund the organization’s projects and its scholarship programs. As a Chapter of National Continental Societies, Inc., we are women with conscience, concern and commitment who are dedicated to active service in endeavors that improve the quality of life for children and youth.

Chapter Retreat
August 31, 2013
Location: Wayne County Public Library
Description: Chapter members will “brainstorm” about ways to improve chapter projects and to enhance our service to children.

Continental Worship Sunday
September 15, 2013
Location: Mt. Olive N. C.
Description: Members will worship and fellowship at Stanley Chapel Free Will Baptist Church with Chapter member Comatha Johnson.   Chapter will make a donation to the youth program. 

The Continental Pageant
November 23, 2013
Location: Wayne Community College
Description: The pageant’s contestants are ages 6-9. The contestants will compete for the King and Queen title and will be crown during the Coronation.

The Continental Pageant is our major fundraiser.  Proceeds from the pageant are used to fund the organization’s projects and its scholarship program.
